High School Youth

We offer a variety of opportunities for our high school youth to either come to know God or grow deeper in their relationship with Him.

The Encounter

Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Chapel and FLC Room 306

Open to all high school students, THE ENCOUNTER is a weekly gathering focused on reading and discussing the Bible. This time is filled with songs, prayer, and relevant discussion. The purpose of this time together is to encourage high school students to read and examine the Bible; to grow together in community; and to provide the youth with a model to use in their personal Bible study.

Sunday School

Sundays from 9:45 - 10:45 am
9th & 10th Grade – 305
11th & 12th Grade – 306
College Aged – 301

This weekly program will continue to offer all high school and college aged students an opportunity to examine their faith and the teachings of the Bible. Through discussion and interactive study, students develop a deeper sense of community in their classes.

The Loft

Sundays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
FLC Room 306 and Gym

This is a weekly time of fellowship, during which all high school students are invited to hang-out together at the church. Some may choose to participate in large group activities or team games, while others may want to sit and visit, or even watch a movie or ball game. During this time, students are encouraged to relax, be themselves and get to know each another better in a Christian environment.

Missions

Sr. High students will have opportunities throughout the year to participate in missions of service both locally and internationally.

Retreats & Camps

Special weekend retreats are offered throughout the year, and they are designed to provide high school students with a low-cost format that focuses on spiritual disciplines, including different forms of prayer and an opportunity to re-visit the confirmation process. Week long camps are available for longer term fellowship and study in a Christian environment.

Small Groups

We have several small groups that operate at various times during the week for both high school and middle school youth. These groups meet at host homes and are arranged according to the availability of students. Please contact Youth Ministry for more information.
