Adult Sunday School

There is an adult Sunday School class for every age and interest. Brief descriptions are provided to help you choose the class that is right for you. Adventurers

This class consists of members ages 30 and up, with and without children. The group is a discussion-oriented class studying a variety of biblical topics applicable to our daily lives. We enjoy fellowship, mission projects and social activities. We meet at 9:45 am in room 312 of the Family Life Center.

Alive

This class is for adults ages 18-30. We are part of the Young Singles Ministries.This is a class that is passionate about developing strong Christian relationships, serving our community, and studying God’s word. We meet at 11:15 am in the Library.

Barnabas

This class is a friendly community consisting of adults in their 40’s - 50’s united by a shared belief in Christ, seeking and providing encouragement to one another through prayer, Bible study, topical studies and lots of fellowship. We meet at 9:45 am at First Colony Middle School, just across the street from the church during the school year and in room 201 during the summer months. Contact Gary Shepperd for more information.

Couples for Christ

This class consists of married couples in their 20’s - 40’s with or without children. It is a relaxed, yet engaging, class that provides Christ-centered fellowship, support, and opportunities for service. We meet at 9:45 am in the Bride's Room. Contact Allison Thummel at 281.778.8440.

Crusaders

This class is open to all ages. It has a participatory format and the studies are Biblically based. It meets in the Bride's Room at 8:30 am (childcare is available in the nursery for preschool children). Contact Brent Kirkendall at 281.277.4756.

Grace Abounds

All ages and stages of life are welcome (married, single, single on Sunday). This class has a participatory, rather than lecture, format. We love a great discussion! Study facilitators rotate among interested class members. We meet at 9:45 am in the Chapel.  Contact Bev Martin

Grace Notes

This class allows members of the Chancel Choir to attend a Sunday School class and still participate in the Music Ministry of Christ Church. While it is geared towards Choir members, everyone is welcome. We meet at 9:45 am in the Choir Room. Contact Wes Whiddon.

H.O.P.E. 24/7

Our name, “Hear Our Prayers Everyday 24/7” reflects this class' focus on prayer. Once a month, members share joys and concerns. Discussion-oriented studies cover a range of topics to encourage spiritual growth. Socials and missions round out our activities for members ages 40’s - 70’s. This class meets Sundays at 9:45 am in room 311 in the Family Life Center. Contact Nancy Mills.

Jubilee

This class is made up of mature individuals who enjoy the fellowship of others and share in the nourishment gained from Bible-driven studies. Lively discussions abound under the leadership of Kathy Kirkpatrick. This class meets Sundays at 9:45 am in rooms 11/12 in the ground floor. Contact Buddy Blair.

Seekers

This is a class of mixed ages with couples, singles, and single on Sundays that concentrates on Bible study and missions. Lively discussion is always included. We meet at 9:45 am in room 308 in the Family Life Center. Contact: Dennis Dull, 281.343.7948.

SS A.R.K. (Sunday School Acts of Random Kindness)

This is a class of couples and singles in their 30’s - 40’s that focuses on developing and maintaining a closer relationship with God. We enjoy fellowship, studying God’s word in new and challenging ways, and maintaining our relationships with each other in a Christ-like manner. We meet at 9:45 am in room 309 in the Family Life Center.

Stages

Single parents, blended families, and remarried couples, ages 30's-50's, exploring a mix of Biblical studies & contemporary issues. This class meets Sundays at 9:45 am in room 310 in the Family Life Center. Contact Bruce Vest.

TGIS (Thank God it's Sunday)

This class is made up of couples and singles of all ages who enjoy lively discussion and fellowship. Topics range from Bible study to contemporary issues and books. We meet Sundays at 9:45 am in the Scout Shack. Contact Marjorie Farmer.

The Journey

This is a new class which meets Sundays at 11:00 am in the Bride's Room. Contact Jill Aycock.

Weavers

This class is made up of marrieds and singles, ages 55+, dedicated to Bible study, fellowship and service. This class is very mission-oriented. We meet Sundays at 9:45 am in the LIbrary. Contact Sonny Tutt at 281.499.6897.

Women's Class

This class is made up of women of all ages whether married, single, widowed or divorced. We primarily do Bible-based studies and various service projects throughout the year. We meet Sundays at 9:45 am in room 307 in the Family Life Center. Contact Christine Wakefield at 281.313.1023.
