SIRE (Self Improvement through Riding Education)

Looking for hands-on interaction with some fabulous children/adults/horses and love the outdoors?? SIRE (Self Improvement through Riding Education) is a therapeutic horseback riding program for those with disabilities who can benefit from the interaction. Located at the fabulous brand new location of Sienna Stables in Missouri City, SIRE has expanded their hours of service to include evenings and Saturdays. The riders participate in a fun demonstration at the Houston Rodeo! Sire volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, but primarily needed for leading the horse or side walking with the rider, depending on the physical needs of the rider. Training is provided. Assistance with mailings, tack organization, etc is also needed. Volunteers can start at the age of 14!! Any one interested in the SIRE program can visit the SIRE website or contact Judi Marchand for more information at 281.980.1927.
