East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry
Christ United Methodist Church is part of a coalition of churches that supports East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. This ministry provides assistance to families in temporary financial crisis in the form of food, clothing, and financial assistance. EFBHNM is located at 425 Stafford Run Stafford, TX 77497, and their phone number is 281.261.1006.
There are several ways our church supports this ministry. An ongoing Collection Bin is available for people to drop off non-perishable food items throughout the year. Each month needed items are listed in The Connection or on the website. The need for food is ongoing, so non-perishable food donations are welcome at anytime. Every other Tuesday volunteers from Christ Church work at the Food Bank, although volunteers are welcome anytime the Food Bank is open. Sometimes food drives are held to support the food bank- one being in the fall to provide food for the holiday baskets they distribute for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. Watch The Connection or church website for details. EFBHNM offers several alternative gift selections in the Gifts Unto Others program at Christ Church.
Tri-City Resale Shop is located next door to the food bank. Tri-City Resale Shop accepts donations of furniture, clothing, toys, household goods, etc. throughout the year. All of the proceeds are donated to the Food Bank for their use.
East Fort Bend is always in need of volunteers at the Food Bank and Tri-City Resale Shop.
