Sara Fuchs, Assistant Director of Discipleship
I was born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma. Twelve years ago, I began a journey with God that changed my life forever. As a college intern, I saw first hand what the love of God can do in the lives of students that are loved and nurtured in the life of faith. From that moment on, the mission of my life and heart has been to see the lives of people changed by the love and grace of God.
I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. From there, I attended Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky and graduated with my Master of Arts in Youth Ministry in 2003. I have returned to Asbury this spring to receive my Mater of Divinity. Ultimately, I want to become an Ordained Elder in the Untied Methodist Church and serve God in and through the local church.
Throughout the last 7 years, I have been a youth minister and children’s minister at churches in Oklahoma, Tennessee and here at Christ Church. I currently serve as the Assistant Director of Discipleship where I am the primary staff contact for DivorceCare, Family Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Singles Ministry and I co-lead Young Adults Ministry.
In this role, my passion and calling is to see adults and families come to a saving, transforming relationship with Christ that will rock their world and to give them the tools to grow in that life; which, leads to abundance and joy.
