Jim Love, Director of Youth Ministries
Christ UMC has been my family’s “home” church for the better part of the last decade. In the 1990’s I began volunteering in the youth department here at CUMC as a small group leader and since that time, God has led me on a fantastic journey into full-time ministry as I have served as Youth Director at Fulshear First UMC and at Faith UMC. In the fall of 2003 I began pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY; I should finish my program studies in December 2008. In September, 2007 I had the honor of returning to serve here at Christ UMC as the Director of Youth ministries.
My passion is getting to know youth and helping them to begin a lifetime journey of recognizing God’s love for them as they grow in their faith. I have found through the years that God is good and can teach us amazing things about ourselves and our faith as we learn to trust in God as we travel through life.
