Children's Ministries

The Children's Ministries at Christ Church provide a place for children to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and grow into spiritual champions. The commitments are August thru May.

9:45 SS Teacher 18 months - Kindergarten

  Team teach in a class and share God's love with a small group of children through a smile, a hug, a simple song, a story, crafts, snack and play (all curriculum and resources are provided).

  9:45 Rotation Workshop Teacher - 1st & 2nd Grade   Teach the same Bible story to six different groups for 6 weeks using your workshop medium (art, drama, music, science, geography, cooking, games, storytelling, missions and prayer).  
**
         
  9:45 Rotation Workshop Shepherd - 1st & 2nd Grade   Demonstrate God's love to the same group of kids each week as they rotate with you to their workshops; distribute name tags, send notes and assist the workshop teacher.

9:45 3rd Grade SS Teacher

   3rd graders receive their Bibles in August; with the developed curriculum, assist them as they spend the year exploring God's Word for His people.

  9:45 4th Grade SS Teacher   Using an activity based curriculum, assist 4th graders explore the Old Testament; both men and women are needed to lead the discussions.

  9:45 5th Grade SS Teacher   Using an activity based curriculum, assist 5th graders explore the Old Testament; both men and women are needed to lead the discussions.

  Special Needs Ministry Team   Provide God-centered programming on Sunday mroning for children with special needs.  
**
           
  Sunday School Coordinator Age / Grade Level   Oversee and facilitate Sunday school and additional activities involving children in your age/grade; support teachers by offering encouragement and practical solutions where needed; prepare classroom materials.  
**
           
  Substitute   Serve in a Sunday school classroom on an as-needed basis.

  Summer SS Teacher   Our regular teachers usually take time off in the summer. We ask all church members to sign up to teach in a class for the summer so we can continue to offer Sunday School during the summer.

  Children's Check-In Team   Assist families at computerized check-in stations to check-in and print name tag labels for each child (9:30-10:10 am on Sunday).

  Hospitality Helper   Help plan and facilitate monthly teacher appreciation breakfast.  
*
         
  11:00 Wee Worship   Greet children, help with crowd control and help with small goups for the 11:00 Sunday Worship experience (3 years-Kindergarten).

  4th Grade "Girl Time" Leader   Organize and oversee once-a-month activity for 4th grade girls to encourage fellowship and fun.

  5th Grade "Girl Time" Leader   Organize and oversee once-a-month activity for 4th grade girls to encourage fellowship and fun.  
*
         
  4th & 5th Grade "Guy Time" Leader   Organize and oversee once-a-month activity for 4th & 5th grade guys to encourage fellowship and fun.  
*
         
  4th & 5th Grade Mission Coordinator   Maintain mission calendar and activities for the year.  
*
         
  Created by God Sexuality Retreat   Help plan and facilitate a sexuality retreat for 5th graders; curriculum is provided.  
*
         
  Girlz Bible Study Leader   Lead a 6-week Bible study for 5th grade girls on Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:30.

  MOP's Steering Team   Plan twice-a-month meeting of the Mothers of Preschoolers; position is by application only.  
*
         
  Playgroup Leader   Facilitate age-level playgroups for moms and young children.  
*
         
  Special Events Team Member   Work with staff to promote and plan events featuring lovally and nationally recognized speakers.  
*
         
  VBS Leadership Team   Join the leadership team to plan and prepare for Vacation Bible School (VBS) held every summer.
